Our History

Back on June 28, 1934, a gathering that would mark the beginning of something special was reported by the Chesterton Tribune. Mrs. Ruth Wollett hosted a meeting with Beverly Shores ladies, sparking enthusiasm for the formation of a women’s club, seen as vital for the community’s growth at that time. This dream turned into reality in 1939 when the club was officially established, setting the stage for decades of community engagement and empowerment along the lakeshore.

The mission of The Dune’s Women’s Club is to serve and enhance its local community through key distinct goals:
